Godstone: Update 0.4 Released!
Hello you guys!
The new update, version 0.4 has just been released!
This update features 2 complete enemy remasters, enhanced melee combat for enemies and the players melee attack! On top of that, 5 new skills has been made as well, leaving for even more character building! Collisions has also been improved, spells has been enhanced and a bunch of bugs has been fixed!
Here is the full list of changes:
- Increased movement speed of Flame Arrow, Ice Spike and Neferin Bolt
- Altered combo text from "Deals combo damage to debuffed enemies" to "Deals 25% more damage to debuffed enemies"
- Increased Frost Nova damage from 1.5 to 3.
- Increased burn and chill debuff length from Firebreath and Frostbreath
When the player takes damage, a suttle camera tremor appears
When an enemy dies, a suttle camera tremor appears
- Reduced the energy cost of Spark and Snowflake by 25%
- Increased the damage from Fire Bomb and Ice Blast to increase consumable value
- Fixed a bug that caused screen shake to not appear in some levels
- Altered the fire explosion animation, removing the first 2 images from the sprite to give it more impact.
- Made fire slightly transparent to make it less intrusive visually
Added light to bandit wizard's spike nova ability
- Increased Neferin Breath's range
- Increased Neferin Breath's speed
- The Keeper now jumps towards the player when using his big lightning attack. People have had a difficult time evading this attack, so hopefully this will help :3
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused the player's spell to not damage an enemy
- Alakai only casts 1 nova if all minions are defeated before all 3 novas are cast.
- Spears now cause a small camera shake when popping out of the ground.
- Added new skills to the skillpoints menu!
* Sacrifice: Sacrifice 3 max health. In return, your damage is increased by 10%. This cannot go below 3 max health.
* Blood Shield: Sacrifice 3 max health. In return, your resistances are increased by 10%. This cannot go below 3 max health.
* Materialism: The chance of chests spawning is increased, but your resistances are lowered by 5%
* Bouncing missiles: Missiles bounce +1 time when colliding with walls
* Masochism: Recieving damage grants energy.
* Control: Increases range and makes spells bounce on walls
- Slightly decreased Deadveils energy drain
- Recreated how debuffs are inflicted upon enemies: The duration of a debuff depends on how much damage the specific spell gives. This means by increasing you damage, you aso increase how effective your deuffs are.
- Reduced the damage from multiple enemy missiles
- Reduced Corpse Leapers damage
- Corpse Leapers bounce is halved
- The keeper can no longer bounce on walls in his horizontal attack
- The Keeper now jumps forward when launching his large lightning attack to give the player a better idea on how to avoid it.
- Boots of Swiftness movement bonus is decreased.
- Fixed a bug that caused you to get stuck inside a wall in a specific level in the Ruins
- Fixed the lighting caused by fire cast by the player
- Spark and Snowflake now only spawns 1 missile that has precise aim, and shoot much faster to give it a sniper-like feel.
- Higher level spells such as Fire Orb, Ice Orb and Dark Orb now spawn from the Black Library and forward.
- Changed how Spark and Snowflake deals damage to enemies: They deal more damage to an enemy once, instead of every frame when touching their hitboxes. This is to avoid exploiting larger hitboxes such as bosses.
- Improved collisions for all missiles
- Fixed a bug that would sometimes make enemies and the player not take damage from spells when they should
- Slightly nerfed neferin breaths damage per explosion from 0.25 damage to 0.18
- Increased XP gain from Alakai from 4 to 6.
- Screenshake now resets to correct coordinates when Alakai dies
- Skeletons now die when Alakai is defeated
- All fire now despawns when Alakai dies
- Alakai now stops using abilities after he dies, and abilities that has been cast after he dies will stop.
- Improved Alakai's hitbox
- Polished the text font so it is more readable
- Added light to all spells, including Dark Circle, making it a perfect spell to find treasure inside walls.
Fixed a bug that caused the player to get stuck inside walls when the battle against Alakai begins
- Altered Jumping Skull enemy so that its jump is slightly more predictable
- The missile of Neferin Taint has been enlargened
- Keepers large lightning attack has been slightly altered as an experiment
- Skeletons now die with alakai
- Fire now despawns when alakai dies
- Alakai now stops abilities he is casting like making platforms explode if he dies
- Added light to the Dark Circle spell, making it perfect for finding secret treasure
- Fixed the bug that caused player to get stuck inside the walls in the champer of alakai
- Fixed screenshake issues with Alakai
- Improved Alakai's hitbox
- Fixed a bug that caused a riddle not to be passable
- The Golem enemy has been completely remastered with new sprites and attack
- Skeletons now have a lunge attack
- Fixed a bug in the tutorial were pressing ESC would leave the tutorial completely despite there being a menu open. You now press Crtl+2 to leave.
- Spears now make a light camera shake when the player is close by
- Temporarily removed particles from Crowns as they caused issues
- Remastered the particles for Firebreath, Frostbreath and Neferin Breath
- Completely recreated the players melee attack so it can both be used as a quick attack and held down to form a charged attack dealing more damage.
