Godstone dev log 2: Trailer Release!

My goodness, it took way over a month to finally finish the game trailer for Godstone! But here it is, and it is way better than i first expected! :D

The process took a very long time, and the first steps came with choosing the software for recording and video editing.
I chose OBS Studio to record the screen and i can warmly recommend that software. For video editing i chose OpenShot Video Editor, and both of these softwares leave a high quality video. And all for free.

After choosing the software, i did over 3 hours of recording where i clipped all these recordings into the best scenes. This took waaay too long, but the result are pretty darn nice! I can recommend doing it even though it will take a while, as it makes all the recordings much more manageable and easy to access.

The music for the trailer i made myself using LMMS, and i made it before clipping together the trailer as i wanted the scenes to follow the rythm of the theme.

After finishing the music, i could finally put together the scenes and the text cards into the trailer, spending a lot of time altering and polishing while listening to the feedback from my awesome community. And there we are!

As a little resume, here is what i learned from making my first trailer:
- Use OBS studio for recording and OpenShot for video editing. Its free and really high quality.
- Do plenty recordings of your project and edit those recordings into a series of the best scenes.
- Make the music before putting together the scenes to get a better feel of how you want it to be structured
- Paste it all together and take your time to alter and polish until you are satisfied!

Thanks so much for reading, i hope these tips can help those about to work on a trailer!
